Grannies à Gogo is currently collecting donations of fabric pieces one half meter and longer, fat quarters, quilt scraps, yarn, and unfinished projects, for their Fabric Sale Extravaganza in the late spring. A donation bin has been set up at Watkin Motors Showroom, 4602 27th Street, Vernon. All proceeds go directly to South African ‘Gogos’ (Zulu for ‘Grandmothers’) who are caring for their AIDS-orphaned grandchildren. Information: Barb at 250 542-2223.
