Hike, Dine & Discover at SilverStar Mountain Resort

Embark on a beautiful scenic hike at the top of SilverStar, where we will learn about the flora and fauna that is unique to this subalpine ecosystem.Sharing the joy of discovery is a daily on-site priority at Allan Brooks Nature Centre. Now, there is something new as the ABNC staff happily extend their love of exploration with you during Hike, Dine, Discover play dates on July 6th or August 10th at SilverStar Mountain Resort. Providing curated trail guiding is part of Calista Foisy’s work at Allan Brooks Nature Centre. Foisy, acting coordinator of program education at ABNC, is committed to promoting enjoyment of nature. She ensures any walk or hike is enhanced by awareness of the habitat. She will be guiding during the hikes along the Attridge trail. Having already enjoyed a gondola ride to the summit and having engaged all your senses as you hiked the scenic Attridge trail, your refreshing outdoor experience will culminate with welcoming hospitality and a delicious casual lunch at the Red Antler restaurant. Here tales of Silver Star’s history will be shared by Silver Star Museum volunteers. Additionally, each participant will receive a $20 Silver Star gift card – use it for lunch or wherever you wish. Dress for the weather, sunscreen, etc and wear sensible shoes for hiking and bring water.
