Bulky item collection
The North Westside Transfer Station hosts two bulky item collection events, one in late spring/summer (June/July) and another one in the fall (October) during regular operating hours.
During these week long events, residents with valid ID cards can dispose of large household items for a minimal cost.
Fall Bulky collection event: October 9- October 16, 2024
Event details
All bulky items accepted- $20 a truck load (cash or cheque only)
Fridges and freezers (empty), large appliances – no charge
No construction, renovation material
No hazardous wastes
No electronics
The North Westside Road transfer station is located at the Sugarloaf Mountain/Whiteman Creek Forest Service Road (turn at the corner of Westside Road and Sugarloaf Mountain Forest Service Road and follow the signs). Hours of operation are Mondays (including the Thanksgiving holiday Monday), Wednesday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
