It’s that time of year again – time for DARKFEST at Kamloops Film Festival, and for the second year in a row Drunk in a Graveyard is bringing all you darklings and genre fans an extra special festival offering, starting with IN FABRIC directed by Peter Strickland. In Fabric is a horror comedy film that finds it’s roots in 1970s giallo films, exploitation cinema, and the highly saturated and grainy films of Italian masters like Dario Argento. The story surrounds a lonely woman looking for love, who is drawn to a red dress in an otherworldly department store. The problem is that this dress has a mind of its own, and it’s mind is.. to kill people. In Fabric was distributed by A24 in North America (so you know its the good stuff) and features Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones) in a supporting role of 1980s gothic dominatrix, and it is definitely not a film to miss. In Fabric screens once at 9pm on March 6th.In Fabric will be preceded by GILTRUDE’S DWELLING by Jeremy Lutter out of Vancouver, British Columbia.Ticket prices:Adults $11Seniors $10Kids/Students $5DARKFEST Passes for In Fabric, Rabid, and Amazon Hot Box are available for $22 on kamloopsfilmfest.ca
