Canucks Autism Network and Social Butterflies, in collaboration with the Kamloops Film Society, invite families to a free, sensory-friendly screening of Inside Out — designed to create a welcoming and inclusive moviegoing experience for children, youth, and families.From Disney and Pixar, Inside Out is a heartfelt and imaginative adventure that takes place inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl named Riley. As Riley navigates a major life change, her core emotions — Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust — work together to help her understand her feelings and find balance during a challenging time. Funny, moving, and deeply relatable, Inside Out offers a gentle and accessible way to explore emotions, resilience, and empathy — making it a meaningful choice for families of all ages. Join us early! Doors and face painting open at 1:00 PM, with the movie starting at 2:00 PM. About the Sensory-Friendly Experience This sensory-friendly screening is designed to support individuals who may benefit from a more relaxed cinema environment. Adjustments may include: Lower sound levelsSoftened lighting throughout the filmFreedom to move or take breaks as neededA judgment-free, welcoming atmosphereFamilies are encouraged to attend in the way that feels most comfortable for them. A limited number of ‘fidget bags’ will be available to borrow before the screening, or feel free to bring your own!
