Description
This year, our multi agency event will include a Syilx land welcome and opening ceremonies led by Penticton Indian Band, opening words by Chief Greg Gabriel & Mayor Julius Bloomfield, a round dance, musicians Poppa Nuge & Nankama Drum & Dance with Okanagan Valley Wudang, a kids area, a free BBQ, free reusable water bottle swag, a memorial photo display and memorial art to honor those we have lost to overdose and drug toxicity.
Venue
Gyro Park is a vibrant 1.6-acre community park located at 55 Main Street in downtown Penticton, British Columbia, just steps from the shores of Okanagan Lake. Operating daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, it serves as a central hub for outdoor entertainment, family gatherings, and community events throughout the year.
