Introduction to Biathlon
Where: West Highlands Park, Nordic Skiing Track
When: Sun Jan 14 & Sun Feb 4, 10:00am–12:00pm & 1:00pm–3:00pm
Who: Adults & Children (Ages 9+), all abilities welcome!

Introduction to Biathlon: In this program, you will be introduced to the sport of Biathlon. The two-hour session will combine cross-country skiing with target shooting using infrared Ecoaims rifles through a combination of instruction and games. These optical rifles do not fire a projectile and are used for the Kamloops Biathlon Club’s introductory youth and adult programs.
Participants should have previous skate or classic skiing experience and be able to ski around the West Highlands Community Centre ski trails as the program will not involve ski instruction. Participation in this program will provide the basic skills and knowledge to join a multi-session program with the Kamloops Biathlon Club.
