Kamloops Highland Games Society’s 136th Annual Robbie Burns Dinner

<p>Attendees can expect a fun-filled evening at the Columbo Lodge, complete with a traditional Scottish roast beef dinner and performances from the award-winning Kamloops Pipe Band and Highland dancers. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with cocktails and entertainment. <br />The local dancers have been practicing for months in preparation for Robbie Burns Day. Little wee ones (weens), from three years right up to adults, will be performing a variety of Highland dances, from the favourite sword dance to the mass fling. The event will include traditional Burns toasts and an Ode to Robbie Burns before a traditional Scottish roast beef dinner, complete with haggis, mashed potatoes, and turnips, along with many side dishes and desserts. There is something for everyone! Performances from the award-winning Kamloops Pipe Band will follow dinner. A live DJ will be playing the best old and new hits late in the evening, so put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun! <br />Robbie Burns Night is a fundraising event, with proceeds from ticket sales going to support the Kamloops Highland Games, held in July at Albert McGowan Park.</p>
