The annual lighting of the Tree of Hope has become a beloved holiday tradition in Kelowna.
Near the end of November, people gather in the Landmark District and watch as the giant Christmas tree, standing more than 120 feet high, gets turned on for the first time.
In the past, the light up has happened on a Friday evening – a perfect way to cap off the work week by getting into the festive spirit – but things will look a little different this year.
The Stober Group is ramping up the celebrations by turning the light-up into a half-day festival on Saturday, Nov. 23.
