<p>This year’s festival is a striking mixture of audio-visual and theatrical languages: illusions, transformations, live and immersive sound, and, of course, the captivating presence of highly skilled performing artists. In Kindred Widows, objects are haunted by the spirits of ancestors; in Epidermis Circus, the subversive naughtiness of a simple doll’s head captures the audience with anarchic delight; and in Lucy Darling, objects definitely have their own plans. I’m eager to see how audiences react to these carefully selected performances. Living Things is an opportunity for public joy. I hope to see you there!”</p>
