Malleus Maleficarum: Hammer of Witches (Thursday to Sunday)

<p>Joan of Arc, The Wyrd Sisters from MacBeth, Abigail Williams from The Crucible, and an outspoken 15th century housewife, face off against persecution in this deadly time of “othering”. A charismatic witch hunter defends the Malleus Maleficarum, a violent and sadistic instruction manual describing how to detect, prosecute, torture, and often execute people accused of witchcraft. Based on historical fact, the play Malleus Maleficarum: Hammer of Witches will look at the how the stories we tell can often perpetuate the historical and ongoing persecution of people who are simply different. <br />Guests will be able to enjoy local beverages from Hugging Tree Winery, Mayhem Winery, Giant Head Winery, Slackwater Brewing and Cannery Brewing. A selection of non-alcoholic options are available as well. <br />Tickets for the show are $30 (or $25 for Tempest’s Patreon Members). An Open Dress Rehearsal Preview performance on Wednesday, October 25 has a reduced ticket price of $20. The performance covers mature subjects, therefore 16+ is recommended. <br />Doors open at 7:00pm. Show starts at 7:30pm.</p>
