Join us for our first meeting of the year! The first half of the meeting will be dedicated to discussing our club, talking about what we accomplished last year, and how you can get involved this year. We’re looking for many new people to join us and help plan our amazing events!During the second half of the meeting, Prof. Alvaro Sanchez, an Associate Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University, will talk to us about his his work.Dr. Sanchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale. He got an undergraduate degree in Physics from UAM (Madrid) in 2003, and graduate degrees in Biophysics from the University of Minnesota and Brandeis, where he got his PhD in 2010. After a short postdoc at MIT, he started his own group as a Rowland Junior Fellow at Harvard in 2013, and moved to Yale in 2016. Alvaro is a Packard Fellow, an HFSP Young Investigator awardee, and a Scialog Fellow of the Moore Foundation and Research Corporation, among others. In 2021, he received the Greer Prize from Yale University.
