In an effort to provide you with the tools you need to live more sustainably, the North Columbia Environmental Society presents their 6th annual Hunting & Gathering Workshop Series.On Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th join the NCES and Robert Macrae for 2 days dedicated to mushrooms!Friday, October 4th 4pm – 6pm: Grow Your Own Workshop, a step by step workshop to get you started on growing your own oyster mushrooms, right at home. All materials will be provided (location TBA) $20 for NCES members, $30 for non-members.Saturday, October 5th 9am – 12pm: Foraging Workshop, meet at the Rec Centre (600 Campbell Ave,) parking lot and carpool out to Wapp Lake FSR where you will get to learn how to identify edible mushrooms, and proper foraging techniques. Bring your own basket and knife. $20 for NCES members, $30 for non-members.NCES members attend both workshops for $35, non-members can register for both workshops for $50.Pre-registration required.
