No Cover.This week we are pleased to feature Gail and Karl Hourigan.Gail and Karl Hourigan are songwriters duo from Kelowna, B.C.. Over the years songwritinghas been their passion, and they have recorded on everything from cassettes – remember those?! – to several CD’s. You can get a taste of their range and music at www.realgonesongs.com.Right now they are getting ready to go to London (England) and thrilled to be spending 10 hours in Abbey Road Studios to record a few songs. This was the brainchild of a friend in Vancouver who gathered musicians together to c hip in and make it happen. As 3 Chord Special they play an eclectic mix of originals, pop, blues, – songs regardless of so called genre, that inspire them, or make them smile. Performance highlights include the 2008 and 2013 CelticFest Vancouver with their band The Malarkeys, and as a duo performing at a Bluebird North songwriters showcase in Vancouver, sharing the stage with Canadian legend Randy Bachman.“Up close, sharing a songwriters showcase, I found the songs stood out even more….the song structure and performance was right on the money.” …Randy BachmanThere is no greater gift to give performers than to simply sit and listen.
