FIVE YEARS OF UNITY THROUGH MUSIC AND CULTURE
Join the Music for the People Society on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a FREE night of unforgettable music, cultural performances, and art showcase.
With passion, talent, and love, Rod “Little Sky” Bandura’s legacy lives on with his stories and music shared, plus the stories of those who were lost in residential schools in Canada. Coming together through music, this cultural concert will feature individual and collaborative performances blend Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists in a celebration of art and reconciliation.
The event will also host an Artisan Market of local craft vendors, organized by the Indigenous Resurgence Project. The market will be open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on the day of the event.
Headlining Group: The Spiritual Warriors are an internationally acclaimed group of talented musicians, blending traditional Indigenous music with contemporary roots, rock, and reggae, inspired by the land and life in the coastal mountains of the Lil’wat Nation.
The Kamloops Symphony and Sage Hills Singers, Drummers and Dancers will be joined by local musician, Jesse Jones for an unforgettable collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous voices, celebrating music, culture, and reconciliation.
