Okanagan Feast of Fields, 11th Annual

Okanagan Feast of Fields, 11th Annual
Celebrate Local! Feast of Fields is a three hour wandering gourmet harvest festival that highlights the connections between farmers and chefs, field and table, and between farm folks and city folks. With a wine glass and linen napkin in hand, guests stroll across a farmers field, traveling from tent to tent (sometimes through the barn, past the tractor or around the chicken coop) listening to live music, and tasting gourmet creations from BC top chefs, farmers, fishers, ranchers, food artisans, vintners, brewers, distillers and other beverage producers.Feast of Fields is a fundraiser for FarmFolk CityFolk, helping to fulfill our mission to cultivate a local, sustainable food system by building a market for local food through celebration. Since its inception, Feast of Fields has only featured local producers, artisans, winemakers, brewers and distillers, and only those chefs that have existing relationships with local farmers and producers. For those businesses Feast of Fields offers a great way to highlight their commitment to local, sustainable food and promote their business to customers that truly love and support the local food movement. As well, for the host farm Feast of Fields provides a boost by introducing guests to their products and their farm. As a fundraising event we also offer–for sale–branded wooden plates to heighten your feasting experience, raffle tickets for a chance to win fabulous foodie dream vacations, a silent auction filled with wonderful prizes, and of course we take donation–for which we provide a charitable tax receipt. So don’t forget to bring some extra cash…its for a good cause. As well, all of our food and beverage participants donate their product and time to Feast of Fields–which we are very very grateful for. From year to year the the number of participants may fluctuate but we always ensure that we don’t over sell the event and that there is enough food samples to ensure everyone has a delicious experience at Feast of Fields. We appreciate your understanding and your support. Check out the “Chefs & Makers” section on our website www.feastoffields.com that provides a search engine that will help you find businesses that support FarmFolk CityFolk. We encourage you to support their business and book a table at their restaurant, find their products, or visit their farm or tasting room. Through feastoffields.com you can experience Feast of Fields all year round.
