Helen will share Okanagan legends that have been handed down for generations that include Coyote and How Things Came to Be as well as contemporary stories by Indigenous authors that reflect Indigenous lifestyle. The stories will vary in length and there will be an art activity that relates to the story. This will help the students better remember the story so that they may share it with their families.Helen Gallagher is an Okanagan Nation member from the Osoyoos Indian Band, a residential school survivor, and a teacher for 30 years.
