Pet series – Hands-on Tricks and Tips

This workshop / classroom on dog training will include hands-on tricks and tips for families with younger children, examples of how to groom and how to handle a dog, and most importantly, will teach you fun games, and training elements. This is a practice / teaching space, bring your dog with you if you want!ABOUT THE PRESENTER / PARTNERThe Ruff House is an Ottawa-based organization that is a one-stop-shop for all your dog’s needs! This includes dog daycare, grooming, training, dog food, supplements, and training supplies. They are here for all of your dog’s socialization, training and health needs! Their mission is to become your dog’s home away from home.Jonathan Sumner, the owner of Ruff House, is a dog enthusiast and advocate. His dog family consists of Burley (Rhodesian Ridgeback) and Maeby (Staffordshire Terrier). Jonathan has had a connection and passion for dogs since a very young age. With 18 years of experience in sales and business, Jonathan shifted his focus towards his passion: the health and well-being of dogs and canine education. He has received training from the Animal Behaviour College as a certified Dog Trainer as well as certification from the Companion Animal Science Institute in Canine Nutrition. Jonathan is constantly learning and is continuing studies on dog behaviour and positive training techniques.
