Lindsey Tyne Johnson presents Postcards of Courage, a unique experience aimed atsupporting survivors and victims of violence and crime. This free-to-attend, artisticworkshop will encourage a creative journey that will allow you to express yourself,connect with others, and make a positive impact. Engage in the art of postcard-making,crafting messages of healing and hope for survivors. Each postcard symbolizes support,reminding survivors that they are not alone and that their stories matter. The postcardswill be given to survivors in times of need by local organizations that support survivorsand their needs.The Kamloops Sexual Assault Counselling Centre will be present,providing vital resources and educational materials. Moreover, a therapist/counsellor willbe on-site to provide any emotional support.
Postcards of Courage welcomes individuals of all ages and backgrounds without anyadmission requirements or prior artistic experience. This event is an opportunity for thecommunity to come together, embrace the power of art, and make a tangible differencein the lives of survivors and victims.
