Theatre Kelowna’s production of “Snow White” is presented in the traditional English pantomime style, which means it is fun for the whole family! There are stock characters such as the courageous heroes, evil and bumbling baddies, young lovers with two good fairies to help them out, and of course, seven loveable dwarves, along with some sweet, furry woodland creatures. The best part is the audience participation. We encourage booing the baddies, cheering for the heroes, and calling out to the characters whenever they may be in danger. There is also a sing along at the end of intermission. Theatre Kelowna Society has been around since 1949 and is Kelowna’s oldest amateur theatre company where families not only come to see our shows, but they also create the magic onstage. In this production we have a cast of 22 ranging in age from 6.5 to 60+, and among them six families are involved both onstage and behind the scenes.Dates:7pm, November 24-26, 30 and December 1-22pm matinees, November 26 and 27Location:Mary Irwin Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts, KelownaTickets:$30 for adults and $20 for kids (12 and under)
