A stunning race with sweeping views of the valley. Run along the KVR trail and a short sand hill climb “the vertical beach.”How to get to the Summerland Rodeo Grounds. From Highway 97 in Summerland, head west on Prairie Valley Road (Dairy Queen & Tim Hortons at intersection). Take the last exit on the roundabout, up the hill to the next roundabout, and continue westward on Prairie Valley Road. At Doherty Avenue turn right and then left onto Bathville Road. You’ll see the signs for the KVR train station and the Rodeo grounds and turn left into the rodeo grounds.
