Join the Raiden Taiko Drummers at the KMA and learn about the art of Japanese drumming.
Raiden Taiko Drummers are members with the Kamloops Japanese Canadian Association (KJCA). The group formed in 2004 and their name represents a mythological God of Thunder and Lightning (Raiden) and big drum (Taiko) capture the essence of this group.
Now in their 19th year, there are three original members, now in a transition period of teaching the history of taiko, drills, and songs to all genders and ages.
Raiden Taiko continues to grow and develop under the principles of KJCA Mission Statement: To advance Japanese Canadian cultural awareness and personal growth and development through Taiko drumming in the interior of BC.
