This ensemble, recipient of the JUNO Award for Best Roots Album (Group) and two Canadian Folk Music Awards, promises a performance that transcends boundaries and ignites the spirit.
“The upcoming performance by The McDades promises to be a truly wonderful experience, melding the rich tapestry of Celtic tradition with the vibrant hues of jazz improvisation,” shares Theatre Programming Director, Andrew Stauffer. “Audiences are in for a treat as they witness the remarkable synergy and creativity of this ensemble.”
At the core of The McDades are siblings Shannon, Solon, and Jeremiah, whose upbringing in Canadian folk music and exposure to diverse musical influences have shaped their unique sound. Their compositions and arrangements showcase virtuosity and stage chemistry.
