The Nutcracker Auditions

It’s that time of year again! An opportunity for our young dancers to perform on the RPAC stage with Ballet Victoria in “The Nutcracker” this winter, together with professional dancers! We are looking for children ages 6-16, with various degrees of dance experience to audition. Where: Revelstoke Performing Arts CentreWhen: Sunday, September 15, 3:00-4:30pmWho: Dancers 6-16 years oldRehearsals: Every Sunday afternoon, starting September 23rd.The Nutcracker Parts- One Lead Girl:Clara (12-14 yrs)SKILL LEVEL: Must be a good dancer and actor- Pierettes (12-14 yrs) Dancing with ballet Victoria company SKILL LEVEL: Must be good with quick footwork – Angels (8-10 yrs) SKILL LEVEL: Must be good with staging- Five Party Children (12-16 yrs)SKILL LEVEL: Good intermediate level.- Russian Dancers (7 children + Clara, 12-16 yrs)The Russian dancers are dancing as the corps for two company dancers.SKILL LEVEL: Good intermediate level, good jumpers.- Mama mice (2 mice, 10-11 yrs)- Baby mice (12 mice, 6-11 yrs)The mice are dancing as the corps with a company dancer.SKILL LEVEL: Beginner.Please contact Celina Caputi at revelstoketheatre@gmail.com or call 250-814-9324 to sign up for the audition.There will be a $75 registration fee for those children selected to be part of the production. Ballet Victoria will bring all the props and costumes for the children.
