The Students’ Union has a limited number of free tickets available for this event on a first come, first served basis. Please email office@ubcsuo.ca with the subject heading “Santa Ono” to reserve (up to 4) tickets. On Thursday, January 30th (doors at 5:30pm, lecture at 6:30pm) Third Space Life Charity invites you to THIS IS WHAT HOPE LOOKS LIKE – WITH SANTA J. ONO (University of British Columbia President and mental health advocate).Professor Ono will share on the current mental health epidemic in our youth and his own personal journey through depression and bi-polar disorder. “Suicide is a real risk for university-age youth and we need them to know they are not alone,” says Ono.This event is a fundraiser for Third Space’s Student Care Program, which provides clinical counselling to UBCO students on campus. In 2018/2019, Third Space provided counselling to over 1,500 students.
