<p>Spiral, elliptical, irregular – oh my! Galaxies abound in our spring sky. Some galaxies are even home to supernovae – the explosive remains of dead stars. Join us and our special guest Laura Salo from the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics as we explore some of the galaxies in our own cosmic backyard.Speaker/guestLaura Salo is pursuing her PhD in astrophysics at the University of Minnesota. Her current research involves spectral analysis of galaxies that are home to supernovae in order to discover more about the environments of these explosive stars.Key LinksThe most recent version of the Bell’s Minnesota Skies: Star Map.
