An open house is being held today at a Princeton magic mushroom facility as it celebrates its grand opening.<\/p>\n
In the last few years, two 10,000 foot-buildings in Princeton’s industrial park were constructed and designed to cultivate and research psilocybin<\/a>, the hallucinogenic ingredient in magic mushrooms. <\/p>\n These facilities will be used to grow, process, research and develop functional and future mushroom products, according to Optimi Health Corp which oversees the effort.<\/p>\n “It has been an amazing two-year journey getting to where we are today,” said Bill Ciprick, Optimi CEO, in a press release.<\/p>\n “Having now cultivated our first grow of psilocybin and functional mushrooms to a GMP standard, we are excited to be at full operational capacity and will proceed with domestic and international supply agreements with drug development companies and patients through the Special Access Program.”<\/p>\n In February, Optimi Health Corp announced Health Canada approved the company’s dealer’s licence so the buildings can grow, process, research and develop psilocybin products for the health and wellness sector.<\/p>\n READ MORE:<\/strong> Princeton facility gets green light to grow magic mushrooms<\/a><\/p>\n The grand opening begins at 11 a.m. today, May 27, at the site and will include a tour for the public.
