If you really want to discourage your teen from smoking weed, light up a joint and call it &#8220;wacky tobacky&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the numbers from BC\u2019s most&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mcs.bc.ca\/pdf\/blunt_talk_iii.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent survey of teen cannabis use in 2023:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>22:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of British Columbian teens tried cannabis in 2023, down from 41 per cent in 1998.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>32:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of students 12 to 18 years old tried weed in the BC Interior, higher than the provincial average.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>15:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of youth in the Fraser Health region have tried cannabis, the lowest rate in BC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>62:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of BC teens who tried weed for the first time were between the ages of 13 and 15.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>54:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of youths who had smoked some jazz cabbage worked 21 hours a week or more. Apparently not all stoner teens are lazy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>12:&nbsp;<\/strong>Per cent of teens in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcs.bc.ca\/pdf\/2023_bcahs_okanagan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Okanagan<\/a>&nbsp;smoked weed everyday the month they were surveyed, just like Dr. Dre&#8217;s advice in&nbsp;<em>The Next Episode<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>56:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of teens in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcs.bc.ca\/pdf\/2023_bcahs_thompson_cariboo_shuswap.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thompson-Cariboo-Shuswap<\/a>&nbsp;region get their weed by sharing it with friends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>16:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of young people used a stronger substance than weed, like mushrooms or cocaine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>18:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent smoked weed 20 or more days in a month, up from 11 per cent in 2018.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>34:<\/strong>&nbsp;Per cent of pot smoking teens vape their cannabis rather than a good ol\u2019 doobie or bong
