1,500 feet of Okanagan lakefront on sale for $9 million

Two properties that join each other on the boundary of West Kelowna and Peachland are for sale for $9 million.

The West Kelowna property at 3060 Seclusion Bay Rd. has been approved for up to 16 “eco-villas” that can be lived in year round or go into a vacation rental pool.

The proposal from Sky High Metals went to West Kelowna council back in 2019 and, according to the realty listing, a development permit application has been filed with the city.

It’s on 6.1 acres of waterfront land south of Seclusion Bay Resort. The Peachland piece is 22.6 acres.

Together they have 1,511 feet of shoreline with pebble beaches, a dock and three “quaint” homes.

Preliminary plans for the Peachland parcel call for it to be subdivided into 44 lots.

There are no sewer lines to the site so the plan was for the eco-villas to be on a septic system with some wind and solar energy, reusing stormwater for landscaping and installing things like low flow plumbing and energy-efficient appliances.

“Offering stunning unobstructed 180-degree views of Okanagan Lake, these properties are ripe for luxury residential development or private family estate,” states the listing by Unison (HM Commercial Realty and Jane Hoffman Realty).

The Jane Hoffman website has the Peachland property at 3100 Highway 97 listed for just under $3.795 million.

It was assessed last year by BC Assessments at about $3.8 million, almost all of that for the land. The other parcel was assessed for almost $1.9 million with only $5,100 for the building.

The HM Commercial website says that a deal is pending for the two sites.
