The Shuswap saw the highest price increase at 36 per cent although property remained slightly cheaper than the Okanagan with the benchmark price for a single-family home at $648,300.<\/p>\n<p> The figures were released today, Nov. 4, by the Association of Interior Realtors.<\/p>\n<p> &quot;Demand is still strong despite chronically low supply, but we are seeing a healthier environment for buyers and sellers compared to what we saw in 2020 and earlier in the year,&quot; Association of Interior Realtors president Kim Heizmann said in a media release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"> <strong>READ MORE:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/infotel.ca\/inhome\/average-kamloops-home-price-surpasses-600k\/it86874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Average Kamloops home price surpasses $600K<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p> While prices are up the number of properties sold in October dropped by 18 per cent compared with October 2020.<\/p>\n<p> The number of properties currently on the market dropped by 39 per cent compared to October 2020, with new listings down by 12 per cent.<\/p>\n<p> &quot;As we head into the final months of the year, we can see that this supply drought or lack of new listings has really become the main theme of the year.
