A BC realtor, who is alleged to have used cocaine and assaulted two people during an open house, is facing a regulatory hearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a Dec. 3 BC Financial Services Authority notice, realtor Christoper James Simpson used \u201cpsychoactive substances\u201d including cocaine during an open house in Vancouver in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He then assaulted and injured two individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The real estate regulator doesn\u2019t give any details about what took place, and it doesn\u2019t appear Simpson was ever charged regarding the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou committed conduct unbecoming (of) a licensee\u2026 when you engaged in the conduct,\u201d the BC Financial Services Authority says in the notice.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The notice says Simpson was assisting a real estate agent at the time of the alleged behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s not clear who Simpson worked for or how long he was a licensed realtor, but he is no longer listed on the regulators’ website as being licensed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf the Superintendent finds you committed professional misconduct and\/or conduct unbecoming, the Superintendent must make an order against you and may also order you to pay enforcement expenses incurred by BC Financial Services Authority,\u201d the notice reads. \u201cIf you do not attend the discipline hearing, the Superintendent may proceed with the discipline hearing in your absence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
