It\u2019s not a perfect nor an exact metric, but it gives a good idea of which cities are trending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U-Haul put Salmon Arm on the same list as Calgary, Kelowna and Montreal, so take this information with a grain of salt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the numbers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2: <\/strong>Was B.C.\u2019s rank as a moving destination. Alberta was number one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>50.6:<\/strong> Per cent of one-way U-Haul rentals were arriving in BC rather than leaving. Alberta beat us by 0.2 per cent. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>10:<\/strong> Was Ontario&#8217;s rank for growth, which was dead last out of all the provinces, take that Ontario.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3:<\/strong> Was Manitoba&#8217;s rank for growth in 2025, up from 8 in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7: <\/strong>Of the top 25 growth cities were in BC in 2025 including Victoria, Kelowna, Vancouver, Richmond, North Vancouver, Salmon Arm and Sidney.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>6: <\/strong>Was Kelowna\u2019s rank on U-Haul\u2019s top growth cities for 2025. It ranked higher than Vancouver, but lower than Victoria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>23:<\/strong> Was Kelowna\u2019s rank on U-Haul\u2019s top growth Canadian cities for 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>16: <\/strong>Was Salmon Arm\u2019s rank on U-Haul\u2019s top growth cities for 2025. It wasn\u2019t even on the list in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>51.4: <\/strong>Per cent of Kelowna\u2019s one-way U-Haul rentals were coming into the city.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>12:<\/strong> Per cent is the increase in arrivals to Kelowna in 2025 compared to 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>53.2:<\/strong> Per cent of Salmon Arm\u2019s one-way U-Haul rentals were coming into the city.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>59: <\/strong>Per cent was the increase in arrivals in Salmon Arm in 2025 compared to 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s not a
