Woman hit by SUV in Kelowna in critical condition

A 56-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by what police describe as an erratically driven SUV early this morning.

Officers were called at around 3 a.m. today, April 27, to a report of a pedestrian struck on Enterprise near the intersection of Leckie Road, according to an RCMP media release.

Investigators have determined the woman was struck by an SUV that had been seen driving erratically moments before the collision.

RCMP do not say if the driver of the SUV faces any charges.

The intersection was closed for the police investigation and has since re-opened.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has dash cam video footage to contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3330 and reference file number 2023-22339.
