Penticton woman killed in single-vehicle crash near Osoyoos
A 23-year-old Penticton woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 3 east of Osoyoos this past weekend.
A grey older model Chevrolet Colorado equipped with a boat rack and ladder left the highway near Hewitt Road crashed at around 4:20 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Sept. 24.
The 23-year-old woman died while being transported to hospital in Kelowna. The other person in the vehicle was treated for injuries.
RCMP say alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that lead to the fatal collision.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, observed the vehicle’s driving behaviour or has dash camera footage of the grey Chevrolet Colorado between 3 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. on Sept. 19, is asked to call the BC Highway Patrol in Keremeos at 250-499-2250.
