An "adorable" puppy was seized by police in Kamloops and officers are wondering who the rightful owner is.
There was a report of a break and enter shortly before 7 a.m. on Nov. 14, according to a Tk’emlups RCMP press release.
It was at a business in the 1400-block of Chief Louis Way where a number of big ticket items were stolen – a 2022 3500 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, a trailer, three dirt bikes, six sets of vehicle tires, and various tools.
Later in the morning, the stolen truck was located at a residence in the 2000-block of Pinantan Pritchard Road. The Tk’emlups RCMP, Kamloops RCMP City officers and the Southeast District Police Dog Service attended the property.

There were two men at the residence who denied owning the vehicle, having any knowledge as to why it was on their property, or knowing who the puppy belonged to.
“We are asking anyone who has knowledge of ownership of this puppy, who appears to a rottweiler-cross, to contact us,” Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said in the release.
“The male puppy was wearing a red harness at the time of his rescue and has been taken to a safe place until we can identify his owner. As well, we are seeking any information related to the location of a trailer and three dirt-bikes.”
The three stolen dirt-bikes were a blue 2018 Yamaha, a red 2020 Honda, and a red 2019 Honda. The white box trailer that was stolen has the words “Residential & commercial 2lb spray foam insulation” on display, as well as the phone number “250-819-2991.”
The RCMP is asking anyone with information about the puppy or any of the stolen goods to please come forward. The Kamloops RCMP detachment can be contacted at 250-828-3000, and this case is file number 2022-40844.
