iN VIDEO: Slippery road leads to jackknifed semi on Coquihalla

A commercial vehicle was recorded wiping out on the Coquihalla Highway earlier this week.

A video posted to Tik Tok by jassx971 shows compacted snow covering much of the road. The driver that crashed appeared to lose control while changing lanes.

It happened on Nov. 9 at the Logan Lake onramp, according to a spokesperson for Skilled Truckers Canada. The driver was not harmed, they said in an online exchange.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure reminds drivers that speed limits should only be reached when conditions are ideal. When the weather turns, it’s important to reduce speed, increase your following distance, and accelerate and brake more smoothly.
