Drivers hoping 20 cent drop in Vancouver gas prices spreads to southern Interior

The price of gas fell by more than 20 cents a litre in Vancouver today, Oct. 6, reaching $1.82.9 at most stations, down from $2.05,9 yesterday.

The Lower Mainland is served through a different supply system than the Southern Interior so it’s unclear if that trend will follow here.

Over the past few months prices have remained fairly stable in the Thompson-Okanagan with bigger fluctuations only in the Kelowna market.

Most Kamloops stations are selling for $167.9 per litre today. Vernon and Penticton are in the $1.73.9 to $1.74.9 range.

Most Kelowna stations are showing on Gasbuddy.com $1.73.9 today, having dropped from $1.83.9 on Sept. 18 after jumping 14 cents a litre over the previous two days.
