A fog advisory is in effect for the TransCan from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass. "Dense fog has developed in the West Columbia region. Fog is forecast to lift near noon," according to Environment Canada.<\/p>\n
However DriveB.C.<\/a> is advising motorists to watch out for compact snow and slippery sections on Highway 1<\/strong> from Spences Bridge to Cache Creek, as well as fog patches from Chase to Sicamous, and there is water pooling between Sicamous and Revelstoke; Highway 3 <\/strong>has slippery sections from Hope to Princeton and from Osoyoos to Grand Forks; there is compact snow and water pooling on the Coquihalla<\/strong> between the Great Bear Snowshed and Merritt; and Highway 97<\/strong> has black ice Coldstream to Vernon, and slippery sections from Summerland to Kelowna.<\/p>\n Only sparse amounts of traffic could be seen using the roads before 7 a.m. through DriveB.C.'s highway cams.<\/p>\n Looking at weather, Kamloops<\/a> and Kelowna<\/a> will both be getting a high of 0 and low of -1 Celsius. Vernon<\/a> is in for a high of 1 C and low of 0. And Penticton<\/a> will see the most variation in the region where it ill reach a high of 4 C today before dropping to -2 C tonight.<\/p>\n At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting 5 centimetres of new snow and 56 cm over the past week.
