There are a few minor hazards for motorists to watch out for on Interior highways this morning.<\/p>\n
Highway 1 has slippery sections from Canoe Beach Drive NE and Perry River Bridge, Junction Hwy 8 to Juniper Beach Provincial Park Access Road, and from Waverly Park Frtg and Bernie Road, according to DriveB.C.<\/a><\/p>\n Highway 5 – which has reopened to the public since last night's police incident<\/a> – has slippery sections between the Portia exit and Mine Creek Road.<\/p>\n Highway 6 EW, from Vernon to Cherryville, may have slippery sections.<\/p>\n On Highway 97 motorists are advised to watch for slippery sections and fog patches, which have been reported between Crystal Waters Road and Grandview Flats Road.<\/p>\n Highway 97A may also have slippery sections and fog patches, between the start of the highway and Davidson Drive.<\/p>\n Charles Andrews commuted from Armstrong to Sicamous this morning via Highway 97A.<\/p>\n “The road was bare and wet all the way,” he reported. “Foggy patches between Armstrong and Enderby and between Grindrod and Mara Lake. Some slippery sections as well along the way.”<\/p>\n Slippery sections and fog patches have also been reported on Highway 97B, from the start of the highway to Black Road in Salmon Arm.<\/p>\n Watch for slippery sections on Highway 97C from Highland Valley Copper Mine to the end of the highway.<\/p>\n For weather, Kamloops<\/a> will see a high of 5 Celsius and low of -1 C. There will be a high of 1 C and low of -1 in Vernon<\/a>. Kelowna<\/a> is in for a high of 2 C and low of -1 C. And Penticton<\/a> is expected to get a high of 4 C and low of 2 C.<\/p>\n There is no new snow at Big White Ski Resort over the past 24 hours, and a total of 25 centimetres over the past week.
