A young Kelowna driver lost his ride this week when police impounded his vehicle for excessive speeding.<\/p>\n
Kelowna RCMP say they clocked the lone 20-year-old driver doing 103 in a 50 km\/h zone on Stewart Road West, Monday, June 19.<\/p>\n
That earned the driver a $368 ticket plus his blue Mazda 3 was impounded for seven days. <\/p>\n
Just a week ago, police clocked another young driver travelling 115 km\/h in the same zone.<\/a><\/p>\n “Unfortunately, this is the second time Kelowna RCMP have impounded a vehicle in this location in less than one week,” RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said. “These speeds are not only dangerous for the driver but for all others on the road.
