There was a snowfall warning in effect for the Coquihalla earlier today, Dec. 31.<\/p>\n
“The snow is expected to ease this afternoon as the low weakens,” Environment Canada<\/a> reported, before ending the warning at 12:23 p.m.<\/p>\n DriveB.C.<\/a> is reporting that Highway 3 <\/strong>has reopened in both directions after a vehicle incident at Whipsaw Creek Road, west of Princeton.<\/p>\n Highway 1<\/strong> has reopened west of Revelstoke after it was closed due to avalanche hazard.<\/p>\n On Highway 1 <\/strong>there is also limited visibility due to fog from Spences Bridge to Cache Creek; Highway 5 <\/strong>has compact snow from Kamloops to Barriere; Highway 97C<\/strong> has compact snow from Merritt to West Kelowna; and Highway 97D<\/strong> has slippery sections throughout.<\/p>\n Looking at weather, Kamloops<\/a> will high of 3 Celsius and low of 0. Vernon<\/a> will see a high of 2 C and low of -1 C. Kelowna<\/a> is in for a high of 3 C and low of -1 C. And Penticton<\/a> will get a high of 3 C and low of 1 C. There is a chance of flurries this morning throughout the region.<\/p>\n At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting 9 centimetres of new snow and 54 cm over the past week.
