A trucker made a risky decision to pass other drivers after a passing lane had ended on Highway 5 north of Kamloops.<\/p>\n
It happened about five kilometres south of Darfield, according to John Keating, who was driving the logging truck that can be seen in the video. While it was happening, Keating was on the radio with the trucker who was recording the dangerous maneuver.<\/p>\n
As the passing truck was in the wrong lane with a double yellow line to his right, another commercial vehicle can be seen coming toward them from the opposite direction.<\/p>\n
“I sped up and lowbed slowed down, creating enough room for that truck to fit in before having a fatal head on,” Keating said.<\/p>\n
A private vehicle can also be seen applying the brakes to make room for the impatient trucker.<\/p>\n
