In Kamloops<\/a>, there will be a high of 0 and low of -2 Celsius, and periods of snow are expected begin at 11 a.m., according to Environment Canada. Vernon<\/a> and Kelowna<\/a> will both be getting snow beginning at 3 p.m., where there will be a high of 0 and low of -3 C. And Penticton<\/a> will hover between 0 and -1 C with periods of snow beginning at 2 p.m. In Kamloops and Penticton, 2 to 4 centimetres is expected, and in Vernon and Kelowna 5 cm is in the forecast. <\/p>\n Looking at the roads, DriveB.C.<\/a> is reporting there is debris on Highway 1<\/strong> between Salmon Arm and Tappen. The road is open to traffic while crews patch up some pavement. “Numerous potholes in the area, watch for road signage,” the notification says.<\/p>\n Highway 1<\/strong> also has limited visibility due to fog from Sicamous to Revelstoke; Highway 5<\/strong> has slippery sections between the Coquihalla Summit and Merritt and there are frost heaves from Skye Blue Loop to Junction Hwy 97C; Highway 8<\/strong> has frost heaves and drivers are advised to watch for falling rocks from Dot Ranch Cut-Off Road East to the end of the highway; Highway 97A<\/strong> has slippery sections from Enderby to Sicamous; and Highway 97C<\/strong> has compact snow from the Pennask Summit to Merritt.<\/p>\n At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting no new snow but 27 centimetres over the past week. The Ridge Rocket Express and Alpine T-Bar are on standby for maintenance this morning.
