Between rocks, fog, slush and pooling water – there are a few things to mind on Interior highways today, Jan. 15.<\/p>\n
DriveB.C.<\/a> is warning drivers to watch for falling rocks on Highway 1<\/strong> between Blue Lake Rd and Jackass Summit; Highway 5<\/strong> is slushy with slippery sections from Great Bear Snowshed to Coquihalla Summit and it’s foggy from Kamloops to Little Fort; it’s snowing on Highway 8<\/strong> where there are slippery sections between Dot Ranch Cut-Off Road East and the end of the highway; Highway 97<\/strong> has water pooling and patches of fog between St. Annes Road and Monte Creek; and Highway 97C<\/strong> is foggy from Highland Valley Copper Mine to the end of the highway.<\/p>\n Fog advisories are in effect and drivers can expect poor visibility in areas where the fog is dense, which include the North Thompson, South Thompson, Nicola, North Okanagan, Central Okanagan and Shuswap, according to Environment Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n Looking at weather, in Kamloops<\/a> there will be a high of 6 Celsius and a low of 4 C. Vernon<\/a> and Kelowna<\/a> will both get a high of 4 C and low of 2 C. And in Penticton<\/a> temperatures however between 5 C ad 6 C.<\/p>\n At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort<\/a> is reporting 3 centimetres of new snow and 60 cm in the past week.
