There was a fatal collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Salmon Arm Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Salmon Arm RCMP received a report about a two car collision five kilometres east of Canoe at 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 1, according to a press release from police.<\/p>\n
The initial investigation suggests a Toyota minivan crossed the centre line and crashed into a Toyota pickup truck.<\/p>\n
The driver of the minivan died at the scene of the crash, and no one else was in the car.<\/p>\n
The two people in the pickup were taken to hospital with minor injuries by BC Ambulance.<\/p>\n
The highway was closed for three hours.<\/p>\n
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash camera footage of the area is asked to contact Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044, reference file number 2024-6314.<\/p>\n
