{"id":4884,"date":"2025-09-15T08:55:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T15:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infonews.ca\/?p=7352030"},"modified":"2025-09-15T08:55:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T15:55:11","slug":"pedestrian-killed-in-collision-on-trans-canada-in-salmon-arm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infonews.ca\/inwheels\/news\/4884\/pedestrian-killed-in-collision-on-trans-canada-in-salmon-arm\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian killed in collision on Trans-Canada in Salmon Arm"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Police closed the Trans-Canada Highway after a fatal collision with a pedestrian in Salmon Arm early this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BC Ambulance told Salmon Arm RCMP that a male pedestrian was in cardiac arrest after he was struck by an eastbound vehicle at 12:10 a.m. today, Sept. 15, according to a press release from police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man died of his injuries at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver stayed at the scene and has cooperated with the investigation. Police don\u2019t suspect impairment from drugs or alcohol as a factor in the collision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service were called out to help with the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The section of highway where the crash happened had been closed for the investigation but is supposed to be open later this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police are asking anyone with information or footage of the crash to contact RCMP at 250-832-6044 and reference file 2025-5462.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The man died of his injuries at the
