The driver of a sedan was killed in a head-on crash Sunday evening with a semi on the Trans-Canada Highway in Salmon Arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lone occupant of the Buick sedan was killed in the collision on Highway 1 just east of 20 Avenue NE\u00a0 at approximately 8:59 p.m., Dec. 7, and the driver of the tractor trailer was taken to hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RCMP say, after a review of dash cam video, the Buick was travelling westbound in the oncoming lanes and the driver of the semi tried but failed to avoid the head-on crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver of the tractor trailer is cooperating with the police investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Salmon RCMP would like to offer their condolences to the friends and family of the person who died,\u201d RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Brett Urano said in the release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
