Fuel prices have been trending down across the country for a few months, but it’s rare to find such a low price price in BC. Since an initial global drop in prices at the outset of the COVID pandemic in 2020, British Columbians typically spend more than $1.30 per litre on gasoline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The current drop in price follows changes in the global oil market<\/a>, impacting drivers in Kamloops in the Okanagan as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kamloops currently has the highest prices with all stations aside from Costco charging at least $1.31.9 per litre, according to GasBuddy.com.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The lowest prices in the Okanagan can be found in Vernon with $1.18.9, followed by Kelowna with $1.21.9 and Penticton with $1.26.9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Those prices fall well below even this year’s average. Drivers in Kelowna have spent an average $1.47.7 per litre in 2025, while Kamloops drivers spent the most in the BC Interior with $1.50.8 per litre, according to the BC Utilities Commission. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
