RCMP investigators say impairment and speed contributed to the cause of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Kelowna last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m., Feb. 22, in the intersection of Highway 97 and Burtch Road, according to an RCMP media release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RCMP said following an investigation by a collision reconstructionist it was determined that speed and impairment \u201care both believed to have contributed to the cause of the collision.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe victim was a 43-year-old male living in Kelowna at the time of the collision,\u201d RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Steven Lang said in the release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the individuals who stopped to render assistance at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RCMP are asking witnesses and those with dash cam video of the crash to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference the file number 2026-10888.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
