VICTORIA \u2014 Police in Delta, B.C., say a 31-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a semi-truck on a major bridge in Metro Vancouver.<\/p>\n
A statement from Delta Police says the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision on the Alex Fraser Bridge on Saturday night. <\/p>\n
Police say in their statement that they responded at around 10 p.m. <\/p>\n
They say their ongoing investigation into the incident has not ruled out alcohol and speed as contributing factors.<\/p>\n
The statement says that anyone with information, including dash cam footage around the area between 9:45 p.m.. and 10:15 p.m., is asked to contact police.<\/p>\n
Police say the incident temporarily closed northbound lanes on the bridge, but normal traffic has since resumed.<\/p>\n
